SIALKOT,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -7th Sept,2016) : A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP),a USAID project on Wednesday.

The SCCI President Mansoor Ahmed and Chief of USAID Punjab Muhammad Junaid signed the MoU with the aim to provide healthy environment for investment in the field of agriculture,livestock and dairy.

Speaking on the occasion,President SCCI Mansoor Ahmed said, "We are trying initiate new projects with the cooperation of the government and international agencies for the promotion of flower crops,vegetables and milk in the area".

He said SCCI was already focused on the promotion of agriculture based industries in Sialkot for exploiting the potentials areas and to promote export of fruit,flowers,meat and milk. The SCCI President further stated that SCCI and PEEP will jointly work for business,investment,joint ventures and for the promotion of public-private partnership in the light of MoU.The signing of MoU ceremony was attended by many members of business community.

USAID Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP) is for five years and its estimated cost is US $ 15 million, it was learnt.
