Shipping Activity at Port Qasim 12 July 2018

Three ships, Mol Generosity, Serene Juniper and AS Bong-1 carrying Containers, Coal and Bitumen took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-purpose Terminal and Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal respectively on Wednesday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2018 ) :Three ships, Mol Generosity, Serene Juniper and AS Bong-1 carrying Containers, Coal and Bitumen took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-purpose Terminal and Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal respectively on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with Coal, Palm oil and Steel coil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total of thirteen ships Mol Generosity, Maersk Pittsburg, APL Savannah, African Puffin, Serene Juniper, Castle Gate, Shan Dong Gas Chong Wen, Phoenix Nered, AS Bong-1, Maran Gas Ascelepius, Gas Amazon, Stead Fast and Jo Pinari are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya Been seeds, Palm kernel, LNG, LPG, Palm oil and Diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling registered an upward trend at the port on Wednesday, where a cargo volume of 194,202 tonnes, comprising 144,897 tonnes import cargo and 49,305 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,391 Containers (TEUs), (796 TEUs Imports and 2,595 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Six ships, Mol Generosity, Maersk Pittsburg, Castle Gate, Phoenix Nereid, Maran Gas Ascelepius and Stead Fast sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while two more ships APL Savannah and Gas Amazon are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.

Five ships, MOL Courage, MS Tiger, Malto Elan, LMZ Phoese and Ceasar carrying Containers, Steel coil, Coal and Palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, PIBT and LCT respectively on Thursday, 12th July, while three more container ships CMA CGM Virginia, HansaAmerica and Maersk Salina are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
