Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 12 October 2018

Three ships, Tempanos, GH Chinook and Stove Caledonia carrying containers, and coal were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively on Thursday.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Oct, 2018 ) :Three ships, Tempanos, GH Chinook and Stove Caledonia carrying containers, and coal were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile another containers ship Songa Calibria also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during lat 24 hours.
A total of eight ships namely, Tempanos, GH Chinook, Sophia-N, Sea Princes, Dias, Stove Caledonia, Lowland Amstel and Gas Husky are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, bitumen, coal, soya bean seeds and LPG respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 133,756 tonnes, comprising 91,726 tonnes import cargo and 421,483 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,899 containers (TEUs), (1,993 TEUs imports and 1,593 TEUs exports ) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two ships, Sophia-N and Dias sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while six more ships, Tempanos, GH Chinook, Sea Princes, Stove Caledonia, Lowland Amstel and Gas Husky are expected to sail no same day and night.
Two ships, Songa Calibria and CMA CGM Fidelio carrying containers are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal on Friday, while two more container ships Nicoline Maersk and MS Tiger are due toarrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.
