Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 12 Sep 2018

Five ships, MSC Asya, Northern Monument, Kamila Kosan, Sea Princess and Able Sailor carrying Containers, Chemicals,Bitumen and Palm oil took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) :Five ships, MSC Asya, Northern Monument, Kamila Kosan, Sea Princess and Able Sailor carrying Containers, Chemicals,Bitumen and Palm oil took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

Meanwhile another ships IVS Gleneagles carrying Coal also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total thirteen ships namely MSC Asya, Northern Monument, Grace, Sea Pace, Daimon Gate, Orient Peony, Uni Wealth, Orion-III, Kamila Kosan, Sea Princes, White Purl, Um Bab and Able Sailor are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Container,s Coal, Palm Oil, Palm Kernel, Steel Coil, Bitumen, Soya Been Seeds, LPG LNG and Palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 158,764 tonnes comprising 158,764 tonnes import cargo and 26,341 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,650 containers (TEUs), (2,646 TEUs imports and 1,004 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.

Gas carrier Umm Bab sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while five more ships Northern Monument, Daimon Gate, Orient Peony, Kamila Kosan and white purl sailor are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.

Four ships, Mol Grandeur, LMZ Phoebe, IVS Gleneagles and LNG IMO carrying Containers, Coal and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, PIBT, PQEPT and PGPCL respectively on Wednesday, while another containers ship Safmarine Nyassa is due to arrive at port Qasim onThursday.
