Shipping activity at Port Qasim 16 Aug 2018

Five ships, MOL Generosity, HS Tosca, Maud, Doro and As Olivia scheduled to load/offload Containers, Condensate, Coal and Chemicals were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018 ) :Five ships, MOL Generosity, HS Tosca, Maud, Doro and As Olivia scheduled to load/offload Containers, Condensate, Coal and Chemicals were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday.

Meanwhile three more ships carrying Containers, Coal and Palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total of eleven ships namely, Maersk Denver, MOL Generosity, Maria Elena, HS Tosca, Doro, Maud, Anarita, RB Leah, As Olivia, Chem Bulldog and Mega-1 are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Condensate, Coal, Soya been, Chemicals and Palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling registered an upward trend at the Port on Wednesday where a cargo volume of 171,694 tonnes, comprising 93,127 tonnes import cargo and 78,567 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,632 Containers (TEUs), (619 TEUs Imports and 3,013 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Four ships, Maersk Denver, Maria Elena, Anarita and Chem Bulldog sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while another ship As Olivia is expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.

Three ships, GSL Tianjin, Maritime Riyal and LNG SimaIsma carrying Containers, Palm oil and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT and EETL respectively on Thursday, 16th August, while two more ships Qingdao Tower and Safmarine Nyassa are due to arrive atPort Qasim on Friday.
