Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 16 Nov 2018

Three ships, MOL Courage, Maersk Bentonville and Mini Selmer carrying Containers and Coal took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal respectively on Thursday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2018 ) :Three ships, MOL Courage, Maersk Bentonville and Mini Selmer carrying Containers and Coal took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal respectively on Thursday.

Meanwhile, four more ships, UACC Strait, Reem-2, Chemroad Sirus and Summit Africa with Containers, Bitumen, Phosphoric Acid and Diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim on Monday morning.

Eight ships are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya Bean seeds, LNG, Palm oil and Diesel oil respectively, Out of eight, a container vessel, MOL Courage sailed out to sea on Friday morning, and four more ships, Container vessel Maersk Bentonville, oil Tanker Glorious, gas carrier Umm Al-Amad and Edible oil carrier Horizon are expected to sail in the afternoon.

A record cargo handling was achieved at the Port on Thursday where a cargo volume of 221,526 tonnes, comprising 191,905 tonnes imports cargo and 2,896 Containers (TEUs), (1,337 TEUs imports and 1,559 TEUs exports) was handled during last 24 hours.

Two ships, Maersk Salina and Chemroad Sirus carrying Containers and Chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Friday, While two more Container ships Diyala and Nicoline Maersk are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.
