Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 17 April 2019

Five ships, Maersk Kensington, APL Savannah, Seacon-8, Argent Sunrise and NCC Sama carrying containers, General Cargo, Phosphoric Acid and Palm oil were allotted berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Engro Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively on Tuesday

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2019 ):Five ships, Maersk Kensington, APL Savannah, Seacon-8, Argent Sunrise and NCC Sama carrying containers, General Cargo, Phosphoric Acid and Palm oil were allotted berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Engro Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

Meanwhile another ships, Marlin-V carrying Coal also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim on same day morning.

A total of eight ships were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya Bean Seeds, Palm Kernel and Palm oil respectively.

Out of them, African Falcon is expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.

A cargo volume of 157,492 tonnes, comprising 136,592 tonnes imports cargo and 20,900 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4,467 Containers (TEUs), (3,367 TEUs imports and 1,100 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Two ships, MOL Generosity and Dory carrying Containers, Palm Kernel are expected to take berths at QICT and MW-1 respectively on Wednesday.

While two more ships Maersk Bentonville and Tempanos with Containers are due to arrive at PQ on Thursday.
