Shipping activity at Port Qasim 17 July 2018

Two ships, Seamax Greenwich and Big Apple carrying Containers and Phosphoric Acid took berth at Container Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Monday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2018 ) :Two ships, Seamax Greenwich and Big Apple carrying Containers and Phosphoric Acid took berth at Container Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Monday.

Meanwhile two more ships X-Press Suez and Ikan Salmon with Containers and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Five ships Seamax Greenwich, Amis Leader, Big Apple, UACC Shamiya and LNG Lucail are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Chemicals, Palm oil and LNG respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 94,460 tonnes, comprising 77,217 tonnes import cargo and 17,423 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,371 Containers (TEUs), (1,454 TEUs Imports and 917 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Gas carrier, LNG Lucail sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while four more ships Seamax Greenwich, Amis Leader, Big Apple and UACC Shamiya Salina are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.

A total of six ships, MSC Asya, X-Press Suez, Maersk Atlanta, Ikan Salmon, NCC Najam and Thor Gas carrying Containers, Coal, Palm oil and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-4, MW-1 and EVTL respectively on Tuesday, 17th July, while another Container ship MolGlobe is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
