Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 19 Dec 2018

Ten ships, Abn Ruby, Draft Dooger, Maersk Atlantic, MSC Tomoko, Bhairavi, Vita Ocean, Gulf Baynunah, Seriayu, Rita M and Asia Emerald were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Grain & Fertilizer Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Pakistan Gasport Consortium Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Dec, 2018 ) :Ten ships, Abn Ruby, Draft Dooger, Maersk Atlantic, MSC Tomoko, Bhairavi, Vita Ocean, Gulf Baynunah, Seriayu, Rita M and Asia Emerald were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Grain & Fertilizer Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Pakistan Gasport Consortium Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

A total of ten ships were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Rice, Coal, Soya Bean Seeds, Bitumen, Palm oil, Mogas and LNG respectively. Out of ten, four ships Bulk Cargo carrier Abn Ruby, Seriayu, Gulf Baynunah and Asia Emerald are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 221,293 tonnes, comprising 203,311 tonnes imports cargo and 17,982 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4,451 Containers (TEUs), (3,827 TEUs imports and 624 TEUs Exports) was handled at the Port.

Five ships, Umm Bab, Atlantic Unity, Jay, Al-Soor II and Chemroad Lilly carrying LNG, Containers, Steel Coils, Coal, Diesel oil and Palm oil are expected to take berths at EETL, MW-1, PIBT, FOTCO and LCT respectively on Wednesday.
