Shipping Activity at Port Qasim 20 April 2018

Shipping activity remained active at the Port where four ships, MSC Saturn, Tucapel, New Activity and Chemroad Quest scheduled to load/offload Containers, Condensate and Phosphoric Acid were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Thursday, 19th April-2018.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2018 ) :Shipping activity remained active at the Port where four ships, MSC Saturn, Tucapel, New Activity and Chemroad Quest scheduled to load/offload Containers, Condensate and Phosphoric Acid were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Thursday, 19th April-2018. Meanwhile five more ships carrying Containers, General cargo, Coal and Chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage of Port during last 24 hours. Twelve ships namely, MSC Saturn, Tucapel, Daytona Beach, African Horn Bill, New Activity, Star Antares, Free State, Low Land Amstel, Sakizaya Champion, Chemroad Quest, Al-Thumama and Yu Fu are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Condensate, Rice, Cement, Soya Bean seeds, Coal, Chemicals, LNG and Palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling remained upward trend at the Port on Thursday where a cargo volume of 223,522 tonnes, comprising 165,522 tonnes import cargo and 38,164 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,162 Containers (TEUs), (2,016 TEUs imports and 1,146 TEUs exports) was handled during last 24 hours. Three ships, Star Antares, Low Land Amstel and MSC Saturn sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while two more ships, Al-Thumama and Yu Fu are expected to sail on same day . A total of seven ships, CMA CGM Georgia, Hansa America, Athenia, Wooyang Hermes, Amis Wisdom, King Kraft and Ezard Schulte Containers, Steel product, Coal, LPG and Chemicals are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-2, MW-4, SSGC and EVTL respectively on Friday, 20th April-2018.
