Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 20 Nov 2018

Two ships, MSC Sussana and Al-Nuaman carrying Containers and LNG took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Monday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) :Two ships, MSC Sussana and Al-Nuaman carrying Containers and LNG took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Monday.

Meanwhile two more container ships, MSC Pina & MSC Busan and a bulk cargo carrier Thor Lourage also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total of eight ships are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya Bean seeds, LNG, Palm Kernel, Palm oil and Furnace oil respectively, Out of them, a container vessel MSC Sussana sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, and four more ships, Lahore, NCC Najd, Galateia and Malmo are expected to sail on same day.

A cargo volume of 148,688 tonnes, Comprising 133,678 tonnes imports cargo and 15,010 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,843 Containers (TEUs), (1,053 TEUs imports and 790 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Six ships, MSC Busan, MSC Pina, Maersk Kinloss, Remm-2, Thor Courage and UACC Strait carrying Containers, Bitumen, Coal and Diesel oil are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-2, PIBT and FOTCO respectively on Tuesday, While another container ship MOL Grandeur isdue to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
