Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 23 October 2018

Four ships, MSC Earth, Navig-8 Aronaldo, Contenaro Forza and Alpine Penelope carrying Containers, Chemicals, Coal and Diesel oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2018 ) :Four ships, MSC Earth, Navig-8 Aronaldo, Contenaro Forza and Alpine Penelope carrying Containers, Chemicals, Coal and Diesel oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Monday.

Meanwhile three more ships MSC Sana, Umm Al-Amad and Sea Princess with Containers, LNG and Bitumen also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Eight ships namely, MSC Earth, Engia Dina, Centenaro Forza, Hercules Ocean, Navig-8 Aronaldo, Gas Amazon, Concerto and Alpine Penelope are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Container, Coal Soya bean seeds, Chemicals, LPG, Palm oil and Diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 97,295 tonnes, comprising 85,325 tonnes import cargo and 11,970 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,125 Containers (TEUs), (495 TEUs Imports and 630 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Container vessel MSC Earth sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while four more ships Hercules Ocean, Navig-8 Aronaldo, Concerto and Alpine Penelope are expected to sail on same day afternoon.

A total of nine ships, MSC Sana, MSC Tomoko, Maersk Columbus, Dorado, Aeolian Heritage, Al-Mahbooba, Sea Princess, Maritime Rosemery and Umm Al-Amad carrying Containers, Coal, Soya bean seeds, Chemicals, Bitumen, Palm oil, and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, PIBT, FAP, EVTL, MW-1, MW-2, LCT and EETL respectively on Tuesday, while another Containers ship MOL Generosity is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
