Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 24 Oct 2018

Seven ships including MSC Sana, MSC Tomoko, Maersk Columbus, Aeolian Heritage, Al-Mahbooba, Sea Princess and Umm Al-Amad carrying 3,083 TEUs/Containers, 68,251 tonnes Soya Bean Seeds, 2,089 tonnes Chemicals, 4,173 tonnes Bitumen and 61,841 tonnes LNG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Grain and Fertilizer Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2018 ) :Seven ships including MSC Sana, MSC Tomoko, Maersk Columbus, Aeolian Heritage, Al-Mahbooba, Sea Princess and Umm Al-Amad carrying 3,083 TEUs/Containers, 68,251 tonnes Soya Bean Seeds, 2,089 tonnes Chemicals, 4,173 tonnes Bitumen and 61,841 tonnes LNG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Grain and Fertilizer Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
Meanwhile six more ships, Tucapel, MOL Generosity, Glovis Maria, Reem-3, NCC Danah and Lahore carrying Containers, Coal, Bitumen, Palm oil and Furnace oil LNG and Bitumen also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was observed at high side at the Port on Tuesday where a total of 12 ships are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya Bean Seeds, Chemicals, Bitumen, LPG, Palm oil, Mogas and Diesel oil.
A cargo volume of 168,650 tonnes, comprising 146,268 tonnes import cargo and 22,382 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4,985 Containers (TEUs), (3,807 TEUs Imports and 1,178 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Three ships, Container Vessel MSC Sana, Edible oil carrier Concerto and Oil tanker Alpine Penelope sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while two more ships, Chemicals carrier Al-Mahmoobah and Bulk Cargo carrier Centenaro Forza are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.
Four ships including MOL Generosity, Dorado, Maritime Rosemary and Lahore carrying Containers, 55,550 tonnes Coal, 20,000 tonnes Palm oil and 68,357 tonnes Furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT, PIBT, LCT and FOTCO respectively on Wednesday, while more ships, Tucapel and Hugo Schulle with containers is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday.
