Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 26 April 2018

Three ships, GP Asphalt-III, Straum and Glorious carrying Bitumen, Chemicals and Diesel oil were allotted berths at Multi-Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2018 ) :Three ships, GP Asphalt-III, Straum and Glorious carrying Bitumen, Chemicals and Diesel oil were allotted berths at Multi-Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Meanwhile another ships APL Antwerp carrying containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port on Thursday morning. A total of seven ships namely,MSC Busan, Da Cia Yun, GP Asphalt-III, Pacific Valor, Crimson Empress, Straum and Glorious are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Bitumen, general cargo, Soya Bean Seeds, Coal, Chemicals and Diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours. A cargo volume of 80,041 tonnes, comprising 56,177 tonnes import cargo and 23,864 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,475 containers (TEUs), (219 TEUs, imports and 1,256 TEUs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
M.V Da Cia Yun sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while two more ships MSC Busan and Straum are expected to sail on same day. Three ships, APL Antwerp, CMA CGM Amazon and GSW Fabulous carrying Container and Chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Thursday, while oil tanker Al-Salam-II is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, and two more container ships Songa Calabria and Uni Florida are due to arrive on Friday.
