Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Seven ships including MSC Maria Elena, Maersk Detroit, Lris, Argent Cosmos, Tomson Gas, Al-Safiya and Euro Brave carrying Containers, Coal, Palm oil, LPG, LNG and Furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, SSGC Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Oct, 2018 ) :Seven ships including MSC Maria Elena, Maersk Detroit, Lris, Argent Cosmos, Tomson Gas, Al-Safiya and Euro Brave carrying Containers, Coal, Palm oil, LPG, LNG and Furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, SSGC Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

Meanwhile three more ships Conti Darwin, Stove Cale Donta and Sea Princess carrying Containers, Coal and Bitumen also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total of ten ships namely, Maria Elena, Maersk Detroit, Sophia-N, Dias, Lowland Amstel, lris, Al-Safiya, Tomson Gas, Argent Cosmos and Euro Brave are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Coal, Soya bean seeds, LNG, LPG, Palm oil and Diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling registered an upward trend at the Port where a cargo volume of 173,744 tonnes, comprising 152,704 tonnes import cargo and 21,040 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,778 Containers (TEUs), (2,289 TEUs Imports and 489 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Three ships, Tomson Gas, Sea Princes and Gas Husky sailed out to sea are expected to sail on Wednesday.

Three ships, Conti Darwin, Sea Princes and Gas Husky carrying Containers, Bitumen and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-I and SSGC respectively on Wednesday, while two more ships Termpanos and GH Chinook with containers are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday.
