MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th April, 2019) The situation with oil quality in the Druzhba pipeline should normalize by Monday-Tuesday, Igor Dyomin, adviser to Russian state-owned transport monopoly Transneft's president, told Sputnik.
Belarusian concern Belneftekhim on Friday reported that over the past few days, the quality of the Russian Urals export blend, which has been fed in transit to the Gomeltransneft Druzhba oil trunk pipeline section, has deteriorated sharply.
"The management and employees of the company are in constant contact with the specialists of Gomeltransneft Druzhba, the management of the Belneftekhim concern and the oil refineries of the Republic of Belarus.
We are ready to meet with our Belarusian colleagues to discuss the situation. The company monitors indicators on the presence of organic chlorides and also conducts analysis of samples to determine the source of 'pollution'," Dyomin said.
"According to our forecasts, the situation with quality should normalize by Monday-Tuesday of the next week," he said.
