The 63nd Annual General Meeting of Sui Southern Gas Company, held in Karachi today received and considered the audited financial statements of the Company for the year ended June 30, 2017 together with the Directors and Auditors Report thereon
KARACHI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 15th February, 2019) The 63nd Annual General Meeting of Sui Southern Gas Company, held in Karachi today received and considered the audited financial statements of the Company for the year ended June 30, 2017 together with the Directors and Auditors Report thereon.The fiscal year 2016-17 saw the Company registering a net profit after tax of Rs.
1,336 million after incorporating major disallowances and financial costs due to outstanding debts. The Company steered back on the road to profits after confronting losses for three years.The meeting, attended by a large number of SSGC's shareholders, was chaired by Director Sardar Rizwan Kehar, a senior member of SSGC's board of Directors in the absence of Chairman Lt.
General (R) Javed Zia.Other directors who represented the Company included Mirza Mahmood Ahmad, Nawabzada Riaz Nosherwani, Dr. Mujtaba Memon, Manzoor Ali Shaikh and M. Riaz Khan. The SSGC's management team was led by Imran Farookhi, Acting Managing Director, Muhammad Amin Rajput, Deputy Managing Director (Finance and Accounts)/CFO, Fasihuddin Fawad, GM (RA), and Shoaib Ahmed, Company Secretary.
