Tokyo stocks close lower on geopolitical jitters

TOKYO, March 7, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Mar, 2017 ) - Tokyo stocks slipped on Tuesday as investors were spooked by global political uncertainties following North Korea's missile test, while eyes are on the release of key US jobs data later in the week.

The Nikkei 225 closed down 0.18 percent, or 34.99 points, at 19,344.15, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was flat, edging up 0.01 percent, or 0.14 points, to finish at 1,555.04.
