Tokyo stocks open slightly higher

TOKYO, Oct 2, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Oct, 2017 ) : Tokyo stocks opened modestly higher on Monday tracking gains on Wall Street as the Bank of Japan's quarterly Tankan survey showed business confidence hitting its highest level in a decade.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.16 percent, or 32.65 points, to 20,388.93 in early trade while the broader Topix index was up 0.13 percent, or 2.21 points, at 1.676.96.
