LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Oct, 2016 ) : All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran (APAT) on Monday called a countrywide traders convention in Karachi on October 28, 2016 against Sindh government's decision of markets closure at 7pm.
APAT General Secretary Naeem Mir stated here that such practices had never been successful in the past, terming the Singh government plan impracticable and threatened to take all possible ways of protest it.
He regretted that contrary to the promise about taking all business-related decisions after consulting the community, the respective government took this step unilaterally. "We are standing with traders of Sindh province and we will resist any move to close markets forcibly and we can go on strike if the decision is not withdrawn." He suggested the Sindh government to focus on energy conservation instead of reducing business hours, asserting that electricity pilferages and line losses should be controlled.
