KIEV (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd January, 2020) Ukrainian pipeline operator Ukrtransnafta said Wednesday it had received a total of 4.3 million Euros (about $44.8 mln) from Russia's Transneft in full compensation for contaminated oil in the Druzhba pipeline.

The Ukrainian company also said it had fully cleaned the Ukrainian leg of the Druzhba pipeline form dirty Russian oil as of January 18.

The delivery of Russian oil to Eastern Europe through the Druzhba pipeline was temporarily halted in late April after it was discovered that the fuel was contaminated with organic chlorides. Clean oil supplies were restored in full on July 1.
