94 Trainees Of Five Vocational Training Courses Awarded Certificates At PMAS-AAUR

About 94 trainees of five vocational training courses of 2017 have been awarded the certificates here on Thursday at Pir Mehr Ali Shah-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR)
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2018 ) :About 94 trainees of five vocational training courses of 2017 have been awarded the certificates here on Thursday at Pir Mehr Ali Shah-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR).
The ceremony was organized to acknowledge the efforts of the trainees and motivate them to apply the learned knowledge and skills in their practical lives and earn their livelihood in a respectable manner.
PMAS-AAUR organized five vocational training courses during 2017 in the area of Livestock, Agriculture & food processing in collaboration with Punjab Skill Development Fund (PSDF). Prof. Dr. Sarwat N Mirza, Vice Chancellor, PMAS-AAUR was the chief guest at the ceremony while Prof.
Dr. Atta ul Mohsin, Director External Linkages, PMAS-AAUR being the focal person of the training program organized the event. The VC congratulated the successful trainees on completion of their courses and said, Such training help the unemployed youth to enhance their skills and initiate income generation activities which help improve living standards of their families and economy of the country.
He applauded efforts of PSDF for providing opportunity to the poor people of Punjab and said, PSDF is playing a vital role in developing skills.
He said, the trainees should utilize the capacity and skills to generate income for the betterment of their families and assured them every support from varsity in professional developments as well.
PMAS-AAUR initiated this joint venture with PSDF in 2015 and helped about 140 trainees in completing seven different vocational training courses. Prof. Dr. Khalid Saifullah, Director, Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization and Prof.
Dr Atta ul Mohsin also addressed the participants and congratulated the trainees on their success. The ceremony was attended by the deans, directors, trainees, the trainers and a large number of students.
