Advisor To Chief Minister Sindh On Information And Law For Basic Education In Mother Tongue

Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information and Law, Barrister Murtaza Wahab has emphasized that the education in mother tongue is a key to success.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information and Law, Barrister Murtaza Wahab has emphasized that the education in mother tongue is a key to success. At least, elementary education should be given in urdu and Sindhi.
"English is not the benchmark of success but mother tongue is a key to success. Other languages must be learnt, but students must acquire education in their own language," he said while addressing faculty and staff members at Sindh Madrersat-ul- islam University here on Tuesday.
According to a SMIU statement, the CM's Advisor urged teachers to ensure imparting the quality education to their students to give the best generation to the country.
He also put stress on promoting culture of reading books and other latest material/information through different sources.
"I received a good training from my parents. As a result, I came close to books," he said.
Barrister Murtaza Wahab said SMUI's buildings are a beautiful combination of technology and history. And, he continued, the young generation must be given information about the SMIU and affiliated facilities, and about the famous personalities created by this historic institute.
Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh said that being a part of recently constituted task force on education by the Federal government, he believed that Primary education must be imparted in mother tongue, and higher education should be given in English language, Whereas, Urdu was the national language that could be taught at all levels of education.
