Agriculture College Of Islamia University Of Bahawalpur To Get Accreditation Of Plant Pathology

The University College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has shown tremendous performance during the last few years.
The College is also famous for quality research on indigenous crops like cotton, wheat, sugarcane and vegetables, promoting Agricultural Sciences for ensuring food security in the region and improving the livelihood of the farming community.
The Accreditation Inspection Committee (AIC) of National Agriculture Accreditation Council (NAEAC) from Higher education Commission (HEC) formally visited the University College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, IUB for accreditation of discipline of Plant Pathology.
The Committee comprised Professor Dr. Saleem Haider, Director, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, University of the Punjab, Lahore and Abdullah, IT Coordinator from HEC. Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil Principal UCAES was the focal person and Dr.
Muhammad Naveed Aslam Malghani was the Coordinator of this visit form UCAES, IUB. Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil briefed about the progress of the college, so far made, while Dr. Muhammd Naveed Aslam Malghani gave presentation about degree program in the Discipline.
The Committee members enquired about the procedure of degree program, board of Study, Advisory Committee and eligibility criteria for admission in the College and in the Discipline. They also visited classrooms, laboratories, faculty offices, Experimental area and held a meeting with each faculty member of the Discipline.
They also interacted with students and asked about the academics in general and lab facilities in particular for the Discipline. During the visit all faculty members of Discipline of Plant Pathology Including Dr. Muhammad Raheel, Dr. Qaisar Shakeel, Dr. Waqas Ashraf along with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Chairman Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics were present.
