Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) International Moot To Deliberate Upon Social Impact Of Research

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has decided to hold an international conference to deliberate upon the social impact of research in line with its consistent efforts, acquainting the faculty and students about the new trends in education.

An academicians' meeting held here under the chairmanship of Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood for preparation of the conference, says a press release issued here on Tuesday.
The university's Faculty of Education has been holding International Conference on Research and Practices in Education (ICRPE) for the past three years to provide a forum to young researchers for updating their knowledge in the relevant fields.
The meeting attended by heads of various academic departments decided that the 4th ICRPC will be held from February 18 to 20, 2019.
In this regard Dean's forum on teacher education will be held on February 18. The theme of conference this year will be "Social impact of research".
The alumni re-union would be arranged on the same day. Five modes of presentations and talks will be held during the two days conference, oral presentation, posters presentation, round table discussions, panel presentations and projects.
The international presenters will be given a chance to present virtually if they cannot travel to Pakistan for any reason.
The closing session with a way forward discussion will be held in the afternoon of February 20 at the main campus of AIOU. Call for papers will be open in the first week of November for one month.
The interested academia, faculty, scholars, researchers and practitioners from all over the country are invited to share their intellectual and scholarly work and participate in this high-profile event.
Dr Nasir Mahmood said, the forthcoming event would enable local academicians and researchers to interact with foreign experts to learn from their knowledge and experience in the relevant fields.
The AIOU fulfills its main responsibility of constructing knowledge and disseminating the same among the end-users through the conferences and research journals.
Over the years, the university has been focusing on research-based activities relating to socio-economic problems of the society.
