Allama Iqbal Open University Expedites Books Mailing Process

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has expedited books mailing process to its students for the current semester (autumn, 2018), by using state-of-the-art technology.
On the initiative of the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasir Mahmood, the University's Mailing Department took some extra measures to undertake the job on fast-track basis, a press release Wednesday said.
This aimed at giving maximum study-period to the students, enabling them to timely complete their academic assignments.
The Department has so far dispatched text books to its over two lakh and Twenty thousand students of Matric , F.A. and BA programs.
As per the details, books have been sent to fifty thousand students of Matric program, seventy thousands students of FA and One lakh students of BA program, books and other allied materials of B.
Ed (1.5 years) will start on Thursday (15th Nov).
According to the department, a new computerized tracking system has been introduced, facilitating the students to check the books mailing status.
A computerized tracking system has also been developed through which the student using website can simply enter his/her roll number and registration number to track the mailing package.
The students have been advised to contact their relevant post offices in case of delay in the books delivery.
