PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2018 ) :The Executive Council of Agriculture University Teachers' Association (AUTA) in an emergency meeting held here on Friday demanded of the government to expedite the case of appointment of permanent Vice Chancellor for the varsity and sought removal of interim VC over non-serious behaviour towards the faculty issues.
AUTA warned that until the removal of the acting VC the teachers association would go on immediate strike and boycott the classes and examination, said a press release issued here. The EC observed that lately on January 1, 2018 the General body meeting of AUTA passed a unanimous resolution strongly demanding the permanent VC for the varsity and removal of the acting VC and who was a Senior Professor till the appointment.
The resolution further demanded appropriate action against the acting VC in case he did not show positive response towards the genuine demands of the faculty. It said that AUTA EC tried its level best to tackle the faculty issues with the interim VC in a friendly environment for the last six months but to no use as the acting VC deceived AUTA EC and failed to fulfill his promises.
