COTHM Karachi Holds Its 4th Annual Convocation With The Theme “Shoot For The Stars”, 100 Graduates Ready To Serve The Hospitality Industry Around The World.

The 4th Convocation ceremony of COTHM (College of Tourism and Hotel Management) was held on Sunday 09th of September 2018 at FTC Auditorium, Karachi.
Karachi, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Sep, 2018 ) The 4th Convocation ceremony of COTHM (College of Tourism and Hotel Management) was held on Sunday 09th of September 2018 at FTC Auditorium, Karachi.
COTHM Karachi again made their Convocation theme based. This year the theme was “Shoot for the Stars”, sparklers were lighted up and used as a metaphor to symbolize shooting stars and soaring to the sky.
The Convocation started off with welcome address, Director of COTHM, Mr. Sabir Ahmed praised the efforts of the students and faculty while emphasizing the role of education in the development of Pakistan.
He thanked the Chief Guest for his gracious presence Mr. Sardar Abdul Raheem, who is Owner Barbecue Tonight, was the Chief Guest of the Convocation while Mr. Ahmed Shafiq ( CEO COTHM Pakistan and Dubai), Mr Zubair Surti (Chairman Pakistan Hotel Association), Dr.
Shahana Uooj Kazmi (Rector at Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education ), Mr.Kaukab Iqbal (Chairman Consumer Association of Pakistan ) & Dr.
Omer Tarar (Section Incharge food PCSIR). Dr AhsanUllah Khan (Ex-Chairman SDC) were also present on the occasion. The ceremony was marked with deep appreciation from teachers, parents, and friends, high motivation by the Director of COTHM Karachi, catching eye of the corporate sector, patronage by the Chair Person and best wishes for the future.
A total of 100 graduates were conferred certificates regarding the discipline related to hospitality, culinary and air ticketing. The convocation ended with a twist where graduands let go of the star balloons which wrapped up the theme of the convocation- “Shoot for the Stars”, where graduands continue to shoot for the moon, even if they miss they’ll land among the stars.
