PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2018 ) :Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra presided over Senate meeting of University of Peshawar at Governor House on Thursday here on Thursday.

Besides others, Vice Chancellor of Peshawar University Justice (Retd) Hamid Farooq Durrani, Secretary Higher education, Secretary Finance and members of the senate were also present on the occasion.

The meeting discussed action on minutes of the previous meeting, problems and performance of Peshawar University and matters relating to budget. Salient features and estimates of the budget 2017-2018 were also discussed in detail.

Speaking on the occasion, KP Governor said "Students are precious asset of the nation and educational system based with transparency and merit can bring positive change in society". He also approved annual budget of the varsity for fiscal year 2017-18
