Govt pledges to uplift standard of education on Students Day

The government on World Students Day, being organized across the globe, pledged to improve the standard of education across the country by ensuring provision of every requisite resource to them.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Nov, 2018 ) :The government on World Students Day, being organized across the globe, pledged to improve the standard of education across the country by ensuring provision of every requisite resource to them.

In a message on Thursday the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood said the students were country's future and present government was improving standard of education so that students could exhibit their abilities at international fora.

He said his ministry was making all out efforts to improve the learning of the students so that they could play their due role in the socio-economic development of the country as productive citizens.

The minister said it was his government's top priority to up-bring students at par with international standards to enable them compete at any forum of the world.

Training, he said, has a strong link with the professional capability of the teachers and soon training programmes would be introduces for their capacity building.

He said that the students would be provided equal opportunities to prove themselves and it was only possible through a better learning environment.

A good and uniform syllabus across the country would be provided to students to achieve the agenda of "One Nation" he remarked.

National Coordinator Inter University for Promotion of Social Sciences (IUPSS) Murtaza Noor said that Pakistan's first ever International Student Convention (ISC) and Expo was scheduled to be held�on 11-13th�December Islamabad under the theme of "Securing Our Future".

He said the main objectives of this mega activity include revitalizing the crucial role of youth towards development, peace building and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The ISC Convention and Expo 2018, he said, was the latest initiative of IUPSS in collaboration with its leading academics, experts and partner universities/organizations offering a unique opportunity for Pakistani youth constituting 64 per cent of the population. It would help them to interact with their international peers and discuss their issues, he added.

Sharing a short brief of the convention Murtaza said "There will be interesting composition of participants, hailing from more than�30 countries�with a diverse learning experience. The minimum footfall is expected to touch�40,000 excited visitors�from various pavilions, stalls of different universities and other related organizations. More than 30 sessions and competitions related to youth issues have been designed to ensure maximum participation of the students." Director Admin. Federal Directorate of Education said that the directorate was making efforts to increase the capacity in class room so that maximum children of federal capital could be accommodated while granting admissions.

He said that the educational institutions of the capital would be made as role model for the entire country while upgrading them with modern technologies.

It is worth mentioning here that World Students' Day�was meant to celebrate multiculturalism, diversity and cooperation among students across the globe.

On the day the students display and celebrated their their gatherings to showcase the causes they volunteer were for and also take part in competitions meant to highlight their concern and experiences.
