IGT&E Pays Visit To NUST

Lt Gen Sher Afgun, HI (M),Inspector General Training & Evaluation (IGT&E), General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, paid his visit to National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST)on April 16, 2019. Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th April, 2019) Lt Gen Sher Afgun, HI (M),Inspector General Training & Evaluation (IGT&E), General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, paid his visit to National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST)on April 16, 2019.
Soon after his arrival, the honourable guest had a one-on-one meeting with Lt Gen NaweedZaman, HI (M), (Retd), Rector NUST, at the latter’s office. Ensuing was a comprehensive briefing on NUST, particularly highlighting the establishment of and infrastructural development at NUST new campus in Quetta, and soon-to-be-launched Pakistan’s first-ever National Science & Technology Park (NSTP) at NUST Islamabad campus.
IGT & E eulogised the University’s management, faculty and staff for their committed and concerted efforts towards developing NUST as a centre of excellence in Pakistan with global standing.
After the briefing session, the dignitary was conducted to NUST Medical Devices Development Centre (MDDC), a breakthrough facility in Pakistan for the indigenous production of heart stents & angioplasty balloon catheters;National Centre of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) at NUST School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering (SMME),and NUST Technology Incubation Centre (TIC), which nurtures budding entrepreneurs in technology-related fields.
During the visit, the esteemed guest also planted a tree sapling and commended NUST initiatives for the promotion of green culture, sprouting from its campuses to spreading across everynook and corner of the country.
