Institute Of Management Sciences Holds, Party Festival For Afghan Students

Nstitute of Management (IM) Sciences on Thursday hosted Spring Festival and Welcome Party for Afghan Students who are studying all over the Pakistan under Allama Muhamamd Iqbal Scholarship Programme of Higher Education Commission (HEC).

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2018 ) :Institute of Management (IM) Sciences on Thursday hosted Spring Festival and Welcome Party for Afghan Students who are studying all over the Pakistan under Allama Muhamamd Iqbal Scholarship Programme of Higher education Commission (HEC).

The colourful event was attended by over 600 students who are pursuing studies in seven universities of Pakistan including University of Peshawar, Islamia College University Peshawar, University of Haripur, COMSATS Abbottabad and UET Taxila.

Representatives of HEC included Jehanzeb Khan, Malik Shafi-ur-Rehman Khattak and Sher Ahmad also attended the ceremony. The event officially started with the recitation from the Holy Quran by an Afghan student, Ismail from IM Sciences.

This was followed by the national anthems of both, Pakistan and Afghanistan. A cake cutting ceremony was held to welcome Afghan students. Dr.Mohsin, Director IM Sciences gave a warm address followed by Khalid, an Afghan student who shared his experience in Pakistan ever since he came here.
