Minister Inaugurates Durshal Project Community Lab In Swat

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health, Science and Information Technology, Shahram Khan Tarakai inaugurated Durshal Project Community innovation Lab at Mingora Swat on Thursday.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2018 ) :The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health, Science and Information Technology, Shahram Khan Tarakai inaugurated Durshal Project Community innovation Lab at Mingora Swat on Thursday.

Chairman District Development Advisory Committee, Fazal Hakim Khan, Commissioner Malakand Division Zaheerul islam Shah and Secretary I.T Dauwood Khan were also present. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that with the establishment of Durshal Centre, I.T educated young men and women will find unique opportunities of self job creation, starting own business and enhance their knowledge through on line expert lectures on national and international level.

He said young IT experts will become members of the center and work on their self-designed IT Projects in groups of four. They will work on the proposed business models under the guidance of senior IT experts for six months and will receive a stipend of Rs 30,000 per month per student.

He advised IT educated youth of Swat to apply for membership through on line Durshal address and become members.

The Minister hoped that educated and business community of Swat will benefit largely from the Centre as literacy rate was very high in Swat.

The Minister disclosed that Swat was the second Durshal Centre after Mardan and in the near future total seven Durshal regional centres will be inaugurated in the Province. The Minister said that besides Swat the I.T educated youth of entire Malakand Division will also become members of this regional Centre.

He said that with the completion of Swat motorway, Kalam Project, Malam Jaba Project and other Projects initiated by the present Government, Malakand Division specially Swat will become one of the active business Centres of the Province.

He also assured that the five hundred bedded Saidu Hospital will be started very soon as necessary funds in all the sectors have already been released. Earlier, the Project Coordinator Sadaf threw detailed light on Durshal Centre in her briefing, while the Minister formally inaugurated the Centre. The local business community assured its full cooperation in making the center a success.
