ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2019 ) :Poverty alleviation is the key factor to achieve global strategy of child survival learning and protection from violence said an official Ministry of Human Rights here on Monday.
Ministry of Human Rights Secretary Javeria Agha while talking to APP said that the government was starting scholarships programme for the children who were studying in the child protection centres. She said that already around 50 students were studying on scholarship in child protection centre here.
The poverty alleviation is a crucial component to achieve save the children's survival in learning and protection from violence and the scholarship is an excellent opportunity for students hailing from low-socio-economic backgrounds, as it can help them to fulfill their dreams.
According to the recent report of child protection survey, a 41 percent fathers were doing unskilled jobs while 26.5 percent were unemployed and the aims to provide the scholarships to the poor students to get maximum benefits so that they could become useful citizens of the society, she further said.
