ORIC Automation System Launched In Islamia University Of Bahawalpur

Capacity planning and ORIC Automation System has been launched in Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) in a connection of an initiative by the Higher Education Commission launched in 10 universities for strategic planning and imperfect information.

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :Capacity planning and ORIC Automation System has been launched in Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) in a connection of an initiative by the Higher Education Commission launched in 10 universities for strategic planning and imperfect information.

An introductory session, in this regard, was held at Vice Chancellor's Office Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus of the University.

Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat Prof. Dr Zia ul Qayyum, Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr Qaiser Mushtaq, consultant Advisor HEC Tanveer Ahmad, Deans and Principal Officers also attended the meeting.

Prof. Dr Zia ul Qayyum explained the purpose of Capacity Planning and ORIC Automation System as planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

This project can help to extract relevant information from past and ongoing activities that can be used as the basis for programmatic fine-tuning, reorientation and future planning.

Without an effective system of this kind, it would be impossible to judge weather it was working in the right direction or not.

This system has seven modules including administration management, higher education institution support, monitoring activities, cluster management, BIC profiling, project and portfolio management and communication planning.

Prof. Dr Qaiser Mushtaq appreciated HEC's initiative, saying, all research programmes and policies should reflect the core values of academic freedom, professional integrity and ethical conduct and full compliance with all policies, legal requirements and operational standard of the university in term of research output.

Good planning monitoring and evaluations in ORIC context enhances the contribution of HEC by establishing clear links between past, present, and future initiatives. It was briefed that acquiring exact data for decision making on expansion, working capacity, quality of services, academic planning and management and achieving key administrative and learning outcomes.
