Pakistan-US advanced center for studies' first graduation ceremoney held at University of Sciences and Technology (NUST)

Ninety-four students received Master of Science degrees in energy engineering under US-Pakistan center of advanced studies in energy (USPCAS-E) in its first graduation ceremony held Wednesday at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2018 ) :Ninety-four students received Master of Science degrees in energy engineering under US-Pakistan center of advanced studies in energy (USPCAS-E) in its first graduation ceremony held Wednesday at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).

Speaking at the occasion, US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale commended the students for their work and encouraged them to apply their expertise, said a statement issued here. "The skills these students have gained here, they are now equipped to tackle Pakistan's most vexing energy challenges," he said.

Ambassador David Hale said this achievement is a testament to 70-year partnership between the United States and Pakistan to build a brighter future for the citizens of both our countries.

Federal Minister for Power Division Awais Ahmed Khan was also present at the ceremony.

Federal Minister Laghari also congratulated the graduates. He said that these students are highly valuable addition to Pakistan's resurging energy sector. "Specialized centers like USPCAS-E will be instrumental in providing sustainable and renewable energy solutions", he added.

USAID-supported USPCAS-E program is a partnership between Arizona State University and Oregon State University and NUST and the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar.
