Professional Education Pivotal To Face Modern Era Challenges: Vice Chancellor University Of Agriculture Faisalabad

Professional education and skilled manpower are imperative to face the challenges of modern era.
This was stated by University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa while talking to a delegation of the National Agricultural Education Accreditation Council here on Monday.
The team was headed by NAEAC Chairman Dr Ishtiaq A Rajwana while other members included former Dean University of Agriculture Peshawar University Dr Alamzeb, Food Science Director GCUF Dr Umair Arsahd Bajwa, Director NAEAC Nouman Siddique and others.
Dr Zafar Iqbal said that teachers had to put a special focus on the students' communication skills that will pave the way to excel in life.
He said teachers' contact with students was vital for students' grooming.
NAEAC Chairman Dr Ishtiaq Rajwana said that modernization of agriculture production systems and supply chain into high value agriculture products was fundamental for growth, sustainable food security and reduction of poverty.
Modern agriculture has become increasingly knowledge-based and technology driven, he added.
He said that NAEAC's mandate was to implement a comprehensive program of accreditation of agriculture education degree programs based on policies, procedures, and criteria setup by HEC to assure high quality and standard of education.
Later, the delegation visited Faculty of Food, Nutrition and Home Sciences, UAF.
