DIKHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2018 ) :Inspector General FC South Major General Abid Latif Khan Tuesday said promotion of educational activities was imperative for prosperous Pakistan and it is top priority of Pakistan Army.

Addressing Teachers and Administrative officers of Gomal University at an Iftar dinner, he said the history reveals that only those nations survived who excelled in education, adding that the moral trainings of students was as necessary as the conventional education.

Referring to Gomal University Wanna campus, he said that the campus would provide higher education to tribal youth at their door step, adding that after Eid ul Fitr the students of the campus would be sent on study tour across Pakistan.

He said coordination in education sector would be established between Gomal University and Pak Army in future. On the occasion Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Sarwar, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Bakhtiar Khattak, Station Commander Brigadier Atif Mansha and high officers of Gomal varsity and Pak Army were present.

Meanwhile it was decided that Vice Chancellor Gomal University and Station Commander would prepare a plan for awarding stipend and scholarship to students of the varsity.
