The Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Department Punjab Muhammad AhsanWaheedpaid a visit of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore`s Ravi Campus Pattoki

LAHORE (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th December, 2018) The Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Department Punjab Muhammad AhsanWaheedpaid a visit of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore`s Ravi Campus Pattoki.

Secretaryvisited along with UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof DrTalatNaseer Pasha in various departments of Ravi Campus Pattoki including Central Laboratory Complex (CLC) which is comprising on different laboratories Animal Nutrition Lab, Diagnostic lab, Genetics and Genomics lab, Leather and Fiber lab, Feed chemistry lab, Meat Technology lab, Feed Hygiene and Safety lab, Food Microstructure lab, Sensory Evaluation lab and In-vitro Embryo production lab.

They also visited other departments of Ravi Campusincluding Pet Breeding &training center,Dairy Training and Research Center, poultry & Ostrich Farms,Zoological Museum, wildlife cages and Fish Hatchery,Vaccine production unit, Milk plant,Clinics (clinical Centrum) and Foreign Faculty Hostels etc.

All the heads of the (CLC) laboratories briefed Secretary Livestock regarding the functioning, researches, semen, food & feed analysis and services for poultry, dairy and feed industries and also for livestock farmers as well.

They also visited different section of recently established Akram Complex comprising on auditorium hall, library, Cafeteria and VC office. He also attended “Farmers Field Day” seminar where he met with number of farmers at Akram complex. During visitSecretary Livestockplanted a sapling in front ofCentral Laboratory Complex(CLC). Secretary LivestockMuhammad AhsanWaheedappreciated UVAS state-of-the-art disease diagnostic labs facilities, quality of education & research, dairy management training and providing clinical services for the benefit of poor farming community.
