Sri Lanka Announces Scholarships For Students Of SAARC Countries

The Sri Lanka governmnt has announced merit based scholarships to the students from each South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries including Pakistan for the year 2018.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :The Sri Lanka governmnt has announced merit based scholarships to the students from each South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries including Pakistan for the year 2018.
In this regard, The High Commission of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Islamabad has also informed that the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) has offered degrees in the fields of Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Architecture and Quantity Surveying.
Talking to APP on Monday, an Official of the Higher education Commission (HEC) advised the candidates to send duly filled applications with other supporting documents to Srilanka High Commission in Pakistan prior to 5th October 2018.
He further said that the details regarding the scholarships was also uploaded on HEC Website.
The SLIIT while recognizing students with outstanding academic performance offers merit based undergraduate scholarships to nominee from the countries in the South Asian Region in the form of full tuition fee waivers to different degree programmes including Information Technology, business Management and Engineering.
SLIIT Scholarship covers the full tuition fee for the entire duration of degree programme. The duration of the scholarship shall be three years in case of three years degree programme while four years in the case of an Honours degree programme of SLIIT.
The value of four years SLIIT SAARC Scholarships will be in the range of US$15,200 in the Information Technology degree programme, US$15,200 in the Business Administration degree programme while US$20,800 in the Engneering degree programmes.
