SSC Exams Begin Amid Strict Security In Sukkur

The first paper of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part I and Part II (Class IX and X) examinations was held peacefully across Sukkur division on Monday from 9am to 12 noon amid tight security
The Chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) Sukkur, Syed Mujtaba Shah, visited different examination centres.
Talking to the media, he said the examinations are being held peacefully throughout Sukkur division.
He said board authorities have taken all out measures to ensure a peaceful environment and prevent cheating at the examination centers.
He said that Section 144 has been already imposed around the examination centers.
He said a total of 113 centres have been set up in four districts, of which 26 designated for female candidates.
He said strict measures are being taken to stop cheating during the examinations.
Twenty-three vigilance teams visited different examination centres to check any sort of unfair means or irregularities, he added.
The examinations were also held peacefully in Khairpur, Ghotki and Sukkur districts.
Commissioner Sukkur Rafique Ahmed Buriro also paid a visit to a examination centre at Public School Sukkur and said knowledge and merit were vital for character building and personality development.
Buriro advised students to refrain from unfair means and firmly believe in merit culture. He expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements.
Chairman, BISE Sukkur, Prof Syed Ghulam Mujutba Shah, Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Ghulam, Murtaza Shaikh and other officials also accompanied the Commissioner.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Murtaza Shaikh said that to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of SSC examinations, Section 144 has been imposed at and around the examination centres.
Talking to different delegations at his office here, the DC said that Sukkur police had been directed to strictly implement Section 144. All the Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and officers of Education department and concerned educational board officers have been directed to conduct surprise visits through vigilance teams to ensure fair and transparent examination process, he added.
He said that the power distributing company, SEPCO, had been directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during examination hours at all the centres across the region.
