They condemned all forms of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence and called the youth to spread the message of peace and harmony.
The speakers in a declaration, announced that academic institutions would continue their struggle for spreading the message of peace in accordance with Islam.
The scholars said that there was no compulsion in islam and all religions must be respected. In Islamic history, Christians and Jews preferred to live in Islamic lands because they were treated with respect and allowed to practice their religion freely, they said.
Addressing the conference, Dr Muhammadi Abdul Baseer Al-Hizri said that new forms of orientalist discourse had emerged corresponding with the West's new imperial designs in the post-Cold War era and especially during the so-called 'War on Terror'.
Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Saad-un-Naddi said, "When we are able to study and understand other cultures and religions through their own lens stereotypes, feelings of superiority, and misjudgments immediately disappear." At the end of the conference, Dr Feroz-ud-Din Shah presented souvenirs, shields, gifts and participatorycertificates to the guests and participants.
