Two-day Int'l Conference On Education Concludes

Addressing the concluding session of a two-day International Conference on Emerging Trends and Innovations in Education at the IBA`s auditorium here on Thursday, he said that the future of education lies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

The VC said that at Sukkur IBA University they are already adhering to STEM in order to make youngsters meet the challenges of 21st century.

Founding Director of Center for International Teacher Education (CITE) Cape Peninsula Cape Town, South Africa, Prof Dr Yusuf Sayed talked about equitable and quality education and providing lifelong learning opportunities for all.

He also shed light on the link between the education quality and economic growth. He linked good governance to good education and added, quality education is the basic human right.

Another keynote speaker from University of Sussex UK Professor Dr Barbara Crossouard talked about sustainable development goals in quality education.

Dr Naureen Durrani from Kazakhstan in her key note speech shed light on education and gender. According to her gender equality is the key fact behind achieving sustainable development goal.

More than 400 educationists attended the conference and benefitedwith the ideas of the educational experts.
