1000 Dengue Suspects Brought To Allied Hospitals

Around 1000 dengue fever suspects have so far been brought to the allied hospitals of the city, out of which 94 cases were probable who were provided the required treatment while one dengue positive case was reported in Rawalpindi area.

Chairing a meeting to review anti-dengue arrangements, Additional Deputy Commissioner Saima Younas Tuesday said that during indoor surveillance in Rawal Town, Chaklala Cantonment and Rawalpindi cantonment areas 45755 houses were checked during June 26 to 30 where larvae was found at 600 houses.
While 28415 spots were checked during outdoor surveillance by 185 teams in the said areas and larvae was found at 64 points, she added.
She said all out-efforts are being made to control dengue cases in Rawalpindi, adding that Dengue fever situationis under control. Chance of dengue fever will end by mid of October when the weather conditions change.
On the occasion, she directed the officials that anti dengue activities must be expedited at grave yards and junkyards as these sites are vulnerable for the spread of dengue.
