1917 Dengue Fever Suspects Visit Allied Hospitals Rawalpinid

Around 1917 dengue fever suspects have so far been brought to the Allied Hospitals of city, out of which 432 were positive results who were provided the required treatment, said Additional Deputy Commissioner Saima Younas here on Tuesday.
Chairing a meeting to review anti-dengue arrangements, she said that although present weather condition has decreased the threat of dengue spread but there is need to keep an eye on larvae breeding.
On the occasion, health official briefed that during indoor surveillance in Rawal Town,Potohar town, Chaklala Cantonment and Rawalpindi cantonment areas 64,994 houses were checked during December 4 to 17 where larvae was found at 100 houses While 38,321 spots were checked during outdoor surveillance by 185 teams in the said areas and larvae was found at 02points, he added.
District Health officer further told that a comprehensive anti-dengue campaign was being run to prevent the dengue virus in the Rawalpindi district.
