251 Working Children Screened At Health Camp In Rawalpindi

At least 251 children were screened at a special medical camp here Tuesday organised by Elimination of Child & Bonded Labour Project Punjab in collaboration with District Health Authority.

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :At least 251 children were screened at a special medical camp here Tuesday organised by Elimination of Child & Bonded Labour Project Punjab in collaboration with District Health Authority.

Some 161 children in Rawalpindi and 90 kids from Gujar Khan were screened who work as labour at petrol pumps, hotels and workshops.

Speaking on the occasion,Social Moblizer Labour Welfare Department,Fahmida Shahnaz said it is basic rightof working children to get education and health facilities as they are deprived of these facilities.

A team of specialist doctors rendered their services during the camp.
