336695 Children To Be Vaccinated During Upcoming Anti Polio Drive In Hyderabad

A total of 336695 children of under five years age will be vaccinated against polio during three day polio eradication campaign in all four talukas of Hyderabad district from December 10.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Hyderabad Muhammad Usman Tahir informed this during the meeting of district polio eradication committee here on Tuesday.
He informed that all necessary arrangements were being made to make the campaign successful with hundred percent immunization of under aged children of the district.
The vaccination teams would be provided due security cover in order to administer anti-polio drops to children in peaceful atmosphere, ADC informed.
The Focal Person on Polio Eradication, Dr. Masood Jaferi informed the meeting that a total of 992 mobile vaccination teams will administer anti-polio drops to children of under 5 years age by visiting door to door in Hyderabad City, Latifabad, Qasimabad and Hyderabad Rural talukas of the district. Besides, he informed that anti-polio vaccination will also be carried out at 117 fixed points and 23 transit points of the district.
A total of 890 lady health workers will perform the vaccination duties under supervision of 11 taluka supervisors, he informed that 77 medical officers of union councils will monitor the polio eradication campaign which will be started from December 10.
