6,50,503 Children To Be Administered Polio Vaccine In Bahawalpur

Over the course of four days 6,50,502 children below the age of five years to be administered Polio vaccine by Sehat Muhafiz polio eradication teams of Punjab Health Department.
BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Sep, 2018 ) :Over the course of four days 6,50,502 children below the age of five years to be administered Polio vaccine by Sehat Muhafiz polio eradication teams of Punjab Health Department.
The pulse Polio vaccination inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner would continue till September 27 and will involve about 1401 public health workers. As part of the drive, mobile Anti-polio teams will set up immunization booths in Primary health centres, government hospitals, railway station and schools, which will function from 7am to 5pm.
The teams will also visit house-to-house to vaccinate children less than five years in a campaign starting from Monday (September 24).The department has advised all families of children who were immunized recently under the routine immunization schedule and newborns to receive the poliodrops. To identify missed out children, the left little finger of children whowere vaccinated will be inked.
