Minister for National Health Services Regulations and Coordination Aamer Mehmood Kiani Tuesday visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to inquire after the health of Samma TV's cameraman Wajid Ali.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the hospital administration would provide the best medical care to the media persons who received injuries due to manhandling by the security guards of Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif in the Parliament House building Monday.
He said the cameraman was fulfilling his professional responsibilities when he was manhandled by Nawaz Sharif's security guards. It was a criminal act which was highly condemnable.
He said the PML-N remained involved in such incidents of violence while in power, which showed their frame of mind. The National Assembly Speaker had taken notice of the incident. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he added, would continue its struggle against such mindset.
