At Least 40 People Died From Swine Flu In Northern India Since Start Of 2019 - Authorities

At least 40 people have died from the H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu, in India's northern Rajasthan state since the beginning of this year, the local health department said on Friday
According to statistics table published on the department's website, from January 1 to January 17, the number of deaths from the H1N1 virus in Rajasthan amounted to 40, with total of 1,036 positive cases recorded.
The highest death toll was recorded in the city of Jodhpur, with 225 positive cases and 16 deaths, according to the table.
According to the official statistics, about 15,000 swine flu cases were registered in northern India last year.
